Srini, the ATLAS boss, was on the very short list of people informed by Dmitri on July 17. (And Srini also forwarded me the mail yesterday.) Yep weird and yep sadly in line with practice.

   concerning what will be ignored, I thought Torre still wears his ATLAS
hat as well? In some sense we (aka NPPS) are ignored alltogether, not
the particular projects per se. This is weird, but aligned pretty well
with the rest of the management practices in the lab. Hope we are still
allowed to discuss such matters, without a risk of retaliations.
