OK thanks for the update Brett. If we organize a joint AI/ML meeting in the next 6-8 weeks please let me know if we should include an LS4GAN update.

FYI, and thanks Paul for nudging me to see what LS4GAN's role in this
might be.

Ray Ren who is the co-PI of record for LS4GAN (along with Meifeng) will
shop around some of the ideas we have generated in our LS4GAN effort to
his colleagues in CSI.  Since he is part of the AI/ML group and not
Applied Math (the target of the FOA), he will seek out an AM/CSI'er to
join up with.

It's not yet clear how any scope of the proposed work would map back to
NPP efforts.  Part of the issue is that the scope should not be narrow
to a specific domain.  Likely we can participate in ways that do double
duty with things we need to do in LS4GAN in any case (of course, w/out
double billing).
