I started putting together some slides for the Beam Test Design review tomorrow (9:30 / 2-219) . I think that it would be helpful to reiterate the positioning and movements that we need for the EMCal prototype. We discussed this at one of the recent EMCal meetings. Can we come up with a clear list of all of the movements that we will need for the V2.1 EMCal prototype in the upcoming Beam test?  I assume we would like :

Forward 3C table position / EMCal alone: •10 deg Eta rotation of the prototype in the beam: •be able to move the detector vertically (Y) - at a minimum scanning with beam centered in a top row tower to centered in a bottom row tower. •be able to translate (X) moving the detector through the beam, and completely out of the beam. •These 3 should all be achievable using the Table 3C movements. There is an additional motorized rotational table available, but in the past we found that it was ~ 1" too high (didn't allow us to lower the prototype enough)

Rear Position / With HCal  (Mount to Inner HCal) •Translate (X) to move out of beam (Hcal Only) ? •Rotate 90deg for calibration ?
