That would certainly simplify the setup. I think there was also some uncertainty about the optimal positioning of the EMCal relative to the Inner and Outer HCals ?

Here are some thoughts; I agree with the first part. For the second part:
I was hoping to talk us out of moving the EMCAL relative to the IHCAL when it's downstream, that we could get that out of our system while it's on the 2c table, and when it moves downstream, it's just where it is, and if we do any tilting, we tilt the whole blue table a few degrees either way. And I think we should be able to get our fill of HCAL-alone data while the EMCAL is upstream on the 2c table; we can move it aside at night, for example.
The one motion I think we might not be able to do without is to be able to move the EMCAL left and right in front of the IHCAL, because they can't really rig it into place to mm. We had tracks for the IHCAL in the 2016 test, it might work to just move the EMCAL+IHCAL assembly.
I hope we can come to consensus on this tomorrow.
