Hi Barbara,

For your second point, at least, I think I can give a quick answer –
it's a good point and we've already taken some steps in that direction.
Back in October, we had a simulation meeting with a special focus on
tracking.  Here's the Indico link:

Gene Van Buren described the STAR tracking software. Carlos Perez gave
us an overview of the ALICE tracking software and a independent tracking
package called Olympus.  Of course, would be good to schedule a follow-up.
