Hi,

Sonny and Co. and Piyush have been working in 912.   We notify people nearby that the hypot will happen at 1 pm (so that we
can kick people out for half an hour or so).  We'll turn on the DAQ to take data every 15 minutes or so this afternoon/evening ...

The PLC has been installed and I saw Rich and Yi testing valve opening/closing ...
Below is a rather detailed email that I got
from Roberto.   They'll work in the weekend ... You may read the details yourself.  I've talked with Roberto just now ... It looks
like that the temperature will not really drop --- that's probably my definition of "cool-down" :-) --- until next Tuesday.

( It seems to be a matter of getting to control everything remotely ... )

Facilities fixed the air supply system, so we will have no more interruption.

We received the PLC analog output cards already.

They are installed. They tested the valves yesterday, but one valve still has an issue at the PLC side.

Turbos and roughing pumps are working, vacuum valves work in manual, but the will try and test interlock logic.

Brian just got off the overnight shift, we are checking to see if he can come tomorrow to test the interlock logic on the vacuum system.

Finish up today with reliefs/burstdisk  after pressure test.

Started pumping down the plantside cryoline insulating vacuum volume.

We will do the system piping cleanout tomorrow.

Pat is finishing up something this morning so I can start CEC 112MHz cooldown.

Restart large helium compressor and cryoplant on Tuesday and open Liquid nitrogen main supply

Hi Roberto,

Have you got the PLC shipped today ???

You've allowed 10 days for cool-down and I'm not sure what the 10 days include.  Does pumping down the vacuum part of the 10 days ?

In the language of your original 10 day cool-down plan, do you think it's possible that we start cooling-down today (so that we can
make use of the weekend) ?

Or, I heard a rumor that you guys would start cooling down on Wed. ??

Kin
