Hi, I think I've informed some of you guys separately already that I won't be at the Lab. between Nov. 13 and Nov. 28 (inclusive). I planned and bought ticket for this annual vacation (to Hong Kong etc.) more than half a year ago and I thought the high-field test would have finished. But apparently not :-( Anyway, the following things are like the gross remainder items : 1. Sonny and Ray this morning brought his half-rack to the lower platform and prepare for his electrical/hypot tests to be done ~tomorrow. Sonny will connect the voltage tap cables up to the half-rack (and Carl's tech would connect them from there to his rack) --- he should have done all these when he does the electrical tests. 2. After Ray Ceruti could close up the doghouse as long as Richard Meier and Paul Giannotti/Frank Toldo declare that their connections are good. 3. Frank Toldo (a busy guy !) is also terminating the 535 MCM cables this week. 4. Richard Meier is connecting all this signals and check out the cryo connections. 5. Jon Hock needs to finish his preparation, ask Carter to install magnetic probes, install his linear pot (2) and close the end-walls. He has promised to finish all these and close the end-walls by Nov. 9 (Thur). 5.1 I've just suggested to Jesse Fite to take another look before it's closed or inconvenient to look. Jim/Dave/Jon and myself can all take final looks and pick rubbish out this week ...... 6. P. Rosas needs to do his interlock tests. (etc.) after he connects his signals between his small rack and dump resistor/power supply. 7. Cryo guy is supposed to do the pressure test this week .... to get ready for the safety walkthrough and cool-down. 8. Carl and Zeynep have proceeded well for their test and promised to work overtime Monday and Tuesday. I hope we can move his Rack to 912 on Nov. 9 (Thur.). Over there, we need to connect power and network soon afterwards. Then, Carl/Zeynep can work on the phase-lock-loop, noise, and the overall integration. [ Even without the rack, Bill Eisele is going to terminate the network cables on one end and prepare the network switch in his bench. Pat Z. (electrician) has been complaining about not having the Rack to put in power. But Pat will install power for Pablo's rack (etc) first. ] I am holding the "readiness" list and I'll put it in Dave Phillips and Brian Streckenbach's office. Kin |
