The 912 ODH system is setup to shut the LN2 valve to the cryo plant during an ODH alarm. We will need to check where the sensor is relative to reliefs. Quench will release helium.

Hi,
Hearing this after getting off my flight from Kathmandu to HK, it's exhilarating 😁 I felt sorry that I couldn't see and learn how you guys opened that flange by just a quarter of an inch and was still able to replace the O-ring ?!
Thanks to all and I send this to our mailing list for record keeping. I've also inserted it into our calendar.
Kin
PS:
And I couldn't but continue to amaze at how important this pesky O-ring --- which caused Challenger to break apart --- is !

The rate of is less than 1 Torr/hr currently at 5.5 Torr It should come to equilibrium below 14 Torr if it just water vapor outgassing.

Hi All,
This morning we found that the O ring in the joint between the extension tube and outer connection box was defective. Subsequently, a new one was installed and Paul started pumping the insulating vacuum down. We checked back later after lunch and it now appears to be behaving normally.
Have a great holiday weekend one and all, Ray

Ray,
Attached is the plan for the repair of the sPHENIX Magnet vacuum leak we discussed today. I also put a paper copy in the folder with EWP SS2017-201, which is hanging by “dog house”.
