Hi everyone

Homework from today's meeting: Shashlyk EMCal for emulating albedo is
uploaded at branch fastEMCal of the taskforce repository at
https://github.com/sPHENIX-Collaboration/macrosIDTF/tree/fastEMCal/macros/g4simulations

It should be very fast to run when compared with the default simulation.
Calorimeter info was also not digitized (no PHG4Hits from calorimeters),
which leaves a small memory and file foot print. A blackhole is placed behind
EMCal to stop further simulation of hadronic showers beyond the 1st layer of
calorimetry.

Given most of our CPU time is spent on tracking, I would think it could be
advantageous to run with this configuration, so we would not worry about the
missing albedos when interpreting future results. From Tony's past studies,
calorimeter albedo could contribute to about 1/3 of the outer TPC occupancy.
Nevertheless, it will be nice to first learn from Ross and Molly
quantitatively on the added CPU cost and the relevance of calorimeter albedo
for background contributions.

Cheers

Jin

Dear All,

We will have the next meeting of the inner tracker task force at the standard
time, tomorrow, Wednesday, at 9am EST.
The corresponding indico page with the bluejeans link and any uploaded
presentations can be found here:

https://indico.bnl.gov/event/4884/

And the link to the google doc (which is also linked on the indico page) with
the task lists and work assignments can be found here:
