Hello Xuan,
Sorry I missed your talk. I had an unavoidable conflict with the meeting this week.
I looked at a plot of reconstructed eta vs reconstructed pT for K-shorts from Pythia events, see the attached. I do not see any drop in yield near a reconstructed eta of 0 for the Ks case.
The Ks decay has very different kinematics from the D0 or jets of course, but still, this suggests to me that what you see is not due to an issue with tracking efficiency near eta = 0.

Dear All,
Following today's discussions, I checked the kinematic coverage of
the D0 and jet at truth and reconstruction level in the D0-jet p+p
simulation. There are no efficiency drop at the truth level. But we see
clear acceptance drop at eta=0 for both reconstructed D0s and jets.
Please see the distributions in the attachment. I applied a mass cut at
2 GeV/c^2 on the jet reconstruction. I will check the distributions
after removing this cut.
Further suggestions and feedback are very welcome!
