Minutes shift change 2023-04-19

general (Stefan)
-----------
- no access South bore until further notice
  - diving board has been removed to install VESTA piping
  - will be re-installed tomorrow

evening:  Cameron
- most detectors were off
- INTT work at first, then waiting for Felix modification
- TPC finished some work, interlocks were worked on (flashing)
- couple alarm and computer issues
  - one of the computers froze (monitoring MBD temperatures, EMCal, TPC (recovered on other computers)) —> see DAQ meeting
  - HVAC condensors, but still same trends, assumed momentary lapse
    - spoke to Joel and CAS watch

night:  Charles
- computer freeze
  - called Martin
  - blocked by network
  - remotely fixed, back online —> see DAQ meeting
- alarm for EMCal chiller (SiPM) SW: reservoir level too low, cleared immediately, called Joel, checked area, everything looked all right -> informed Lee, Lee started working on it
- watched HVAC history: looked fine

day:  Sean
- ongoing subsystem work:  INTT, TPOT, TPC, EMCal, HCAl, TPC west lasers
- generator maintenance
- Kevin temporarily fixed TPC interlock alarm, Rob still doing work on cooling

MBD (Alex)
- laser scan

HCal (Hanpu)
- MPOD channel tripped, replaced with previous board, now all channels back, but some channels fluctuate, Eric says he doesn’t see fluctuations in test rack, investigating
- last night USB cable to xmit board loose

EMCal (Sean)
- working to resolve loose Meritec cables
- also issues with TP cables (some bad cables)
- John getting ready to turn on bias voltages for SiPMs

TPOT (Hugo)
- noise measurements in South side
- tested cooling:  is working (electronics stays cold)
- all LV racks for TPC were interlocked last night, flow was too low for valves, one valve was considering that there was no flow, but there was flow, interlock temporarily disabled for TPOT right now (that’s why alarms cleared), TPOT and TPC should be decoupled (TPC should not be shut down if there’s a flow problem in TPOT)
- expert mode only

TPC (Jin)
- last night Martin brought up last rack
- today power on for whole South end cap for the first time
- were able to talk to every FEE
- cooling on with LV on for two hours today:  looks good
- still a few problems in North, trying to fix in next few days (maybe fiber in FELIX)
-  Rob still working on cooling
- still in expert control

INTT (Genki)
- two things resolved
  - LV tuning
  - packaging cables for bias interlock system

MVTX (Cameron)
- testing connections to Felix server, solved 2/3, last one we can live with (low fiber yield)
- cooling:  still working on cleaning cycle, 2 chillers running
  - hope to have spare chiller up tomorrow
- meeting regarding top gap between clamshells; closing gap does not seem possible before run

sEPD
no report

DAQ
- see separate DAQ meeting after shift change

Magnet (Kin)
- power supply engineer needs 4-5 days for testing before operation, of those 2-3 can be done during cool-down, the rest after

Gas/cooling water
- no report

Plan of the day
- no access to South bore`
- DAQ development
- subsystem testing
