  - still no approval

  - hopefully by May 8

  - main item is to paint the scaffolding wood with fire retardant paint  

- pole tip doors closed

  - test subsystem heat loads and noise levels

  - magnet test

  - plan is to open doors Friday morning

- yesterday’s RHIC planning meeting

  - calendar  

    - May 8 begin cool down (cryo weeks start counting = budget starts counting)

    - May 10 beam in blue ring, beginning of no access

    - May 16 evening store for experiments

    - May 18 sPHENIX solenoid at 4 K, two days of restricted access/controlled access

  - run length:  20 cryo weeks (to last week of September)

    - cosmics running after run ends:  solenoid off (need cryo for solenoid)

evening:  Genki

- quiet

- gas cylinder for TPOT replaced by Rob at 5:30

- activity for MVTX

night:  David

- quiet

- MVTX chilldyne cooler flow back up to 10.8 l/min

- at 7:30 work on rack 1W2

day:  Zhaozhong

- pole tip doors closed at noon

- TPC LV off at 8:00am for cooling work, restored at 2:00pm

- CAD did ODH test, exhaust fan on, access:  safety access

MBD (Mickey)

- didn’t have a chance to test interlocks

- can see laser now, but still investigating

HCal (Hanpu)

- can read out detector again, but no signal from 2W2 lower, only pedestal

EMCal

- no report

TPOT (Hugo, John K)

- nothing new

TPC (Takao)

- LV on now

- John and Jin are working on taking data on RC DAQ

INTT (Genki)

- installed FELIX boards to DAQ servers, waiting for preparation of DAQ

MVTX (Cameron)

- system tested 5/6 felix servers, all problems addressed, started testing 6th, all fiber connections good, cannot access one stave, one connector damaged, fixed, but still communication problem with that stave

- cooling: high T readout: no water, crack in hose, replaced, all good

- LC fibers snapped, swapped in unused fiber, all god

- connected MTT fibers

- global system tests will start tomorrow

sEPD

- no report

DAQ (Dan, John K)

John K:  GTM fibers restored, TPC

Dan:  trouble shooting manual

 with Joey investigating event FFFF in beginning of digitizer runs

Magnet (Kin)

- Pablo Rosa working on magnet power supply this afternoon and tomorrow

Plan of the day

- take data with subsystems individually (if possible) with all detectors having LV on (if safe) to look at noise and temperature
