Minutes shift change 2023-04-25

general

- Wednesday morning to Friday:  pole tip door will be closed for test close and magnet power supply work

  - no access to bore from now to Friday

  - use opportunity to test all detectors together:  noise, heat 

- new e-log by Cameron for checking off everything that needs to be checked, almost ready to deploy

evening:  Cameron

- gas mixing house phone was not connected, ITD will fix (done now)

- TPC spark cable:  not safe to reattach, tied off

- FEE for TPC, high T detected, related to testing

- INTT taking pedestal data to set thresholds

night:  David

- quiet

- INTT work continued until 2:00am

- ongoing low flow rate MVTX chiller

- plug door test:  did not happen during night shift

day:  Zhaozhong

- plug door test completed, key tree reactivated

- EMCal recovered channels: Tim

- MBD:  only 2/4 flow interlock switches work (called ECW, but is air (should be fixed!), add to big screen, talked to Lee)

  - investigating

- TPC 1W2 rack off today, techs working

- INTT bias interlock not working yet, Steve Boose working

- HCal temperature gui fixed

- power cycled 1W1 EMCal digitizer as per expert request 

- some TPC temperatures read zero:  daq error

MBD (Mickey)

- debugging FEM issues

  - progress, seeing charge on analog, time channels not seen yet, investigating

  - Chi back tomorrow

HCal (Hanpu)

- understand why MPOD tripped, when restart mainframe, re-initialized trip setting from 1 s to 50 ms, fixed now

  - keeping bias on to monitor

- readout issue (see DAQ report)

EMCal (Sean)

- Tim made progress tracking down dark channels:  all done!!!!

- test of SE preamp cooling water interlocks, OK, can leave South preamp power on (SiPMs still being worked on)

TPOT (John K)

- installed LV cables for grounding, took data, restored same noise performance as in lab

TPC (Takao)

- call regarding 1W1 work, turned off LV, back since 1:00pm, continuing monitoring FEE connectivity

- pulser data for 2/24 sectors, looking good

INTT (Jonathan)

- nothing other than bias issue already reported

MVTX (Cameron)

- tested interlocks, needs more work

- completed testing half of MVTX, moved on to next server, locked fibers, but couldn’t communicate to one of staves just now, will fix in rack

- missing fibers:  ready to be shipped out, should be here tomorrow

sEPD

- nothing new

DAQ (Dan)

- two issues

  - HCal:  one of crate controllers isn’t interpreting Lvl1 accepts, seen this problem before in test stand, investigating

  - vGTM3:  all clock masters stopped working (EMCal affected),  stopped locking, moved EMCal to spare ()vGTM5), seems to lock, waited for INTT to do reboot, rebooted now, vGTM3 seems to be working now

Magnet

- nothing new
