Minutes shift change 2023-04-27

general
—————
- prestart
  - all done but painting
- pole tip door plan changed:  will leave closed over weekend to allow for painting the scaffolding
  - new plan is to open first thing Monday morning
  - will probably schedule another pole tip door closing for next week to finish magnet power supply work

evening:  Genki
- calm shift
- one TPC cooling system temperature changing a lot, called expert, was advised not to check as not yet reliable
-> Takao agreed to reflect this in the standing orders
- shifter check list filled for first time
- HCal activity

night:  David
- nothing really
- TPOT LV monitor is on the same panel as TPC LV —> ask Steve Boose to fix labeling

day:  Zhaozhong
- quiet shift
- EMCal work, HCal work (bias and LV on/off)

MBD (Mickey)
- figured out why laser unstable, still working on fixing it
- firmware update no longer needed

HCal (Hanpu)
- all serious problems served
  - pulser board replaced
- one signal cable in iHCalfound  unplugged, will fix when door is open again
- one broken channel in oHCal
  - investigating
- DAQ stuck at same event (about 260,000) each time
  —> DAQ issue

EMCal (Sean)
- some parts of south sectors not instrumented, swapping into existing digitizer board (Tim and Anthony) to check out cabling
- noise uper sectors on North:  increased noise, unexpected, unclear why

TPOT (Hugo)
- nothing new

TPC (Thomas)
- Jin taking data from multiple sectors with rc_daq

INTT (Rachid)
- interlock:  new plan:  when no cooling, interlock will trip qpack LV but not bias, instead alarm on big screen for shift crew to   turn off bias (if shift crew fails to act, rack power will trip in 10 minutes)
- FELIX installed, moving to rc_daq

MVTX (Cameron)
- investigated interlock issue with bias, wires crossed over, fixed, can interlock whole system, moved to system test, taking fake hit rate, start analyzing, shift crew:  keep an eye on cooling

sEPD
- no report

DAQ (Dan)
- Martin and Dan working on event number mishap (no xmit header), coming from ADC crates, flashed xmit group with latest fpga version, need to test
- also working on trigger, progress
- crate controllers (HCal failure):, talked to Sal, will add test pins to investigate

Magnet (Kin)
- magnet inspection sometime next week

Plan of the day
- take data with subsystems individually (if possible) with all detectors having LV on (if safe) to look at noise and temperature
