Commissioning and running of sPHENIX

C-AD has helped us do the training registration etc. partly because of the IRR process and we’ve got a lot of help from them in the last month or two.

 

But from now on, (one of the C-AD training staff just left plus there are so many of us requiring registration),

 

please send your iris-scan and sPHENIX Access Card (or other training) requests to :

 

Lamar, Erica elamar AT bnl.gov

Achim Franz afranz AT bnl.gov

 

If you send it to C-AD Training Group, they’d just forward it to Erica and Achim. 

 

I’ve just gone to Erica’s office and explained the training requirements RC-42G (1008 Workers) for iris-scan/Access-Card  and RC-42H/RC-42J for shifters and shift leaders.

Please proceed to Access Controls to return your STAR Card and receive an sPHENIX Card. I have removed you from the STAR Experiment for Iris Enrollment and enrolled you in sPHENIX Experiment. I have also removed the JTAs:    RC-82 STAR Experimental Shift Leader  & RC-82C            STAR Training from your Training Dashboard since these are no longer required and ADDED JTA RC-42G | sPHENIX Work in 1008 – Guest, which is required for all sPHENIX collaborators.

Hello David,

 

Please call the access controls group (Ext.7733) and let them know when you plan to come pick up your new sPhenix card.  If you will no longer need your STAR card please return it when you pick up your new RHIC card.  The access controls group is located in Bldg. 911A, Rm 142. Please inform them of all areas you will need access to and they will encode your card accordingly.  (Map of Bldg. 911A Floor attached)

 

Also, if you no longer need your iris scan for STAR this can be transferred from STAR to sPHENIX .  You do not need to be present for this.

 

Access Controls Group:

Please issue an Access Card to:  David Stewart – K9282, whom will need access to sPHENIX. He has all the appropriate training listed below.  AD-CA_Collider_User, AD-CA_Collider_Exam, TQ-ODH.
