Hello sPHENIXians,

I am very pleased to announce that Itaru Nakagawa has agreed to serve as sPHENIX Spin Coordinator 2024!

The success of the sPHENIX cold QCD program is an integral part of the success of the entire sPHENIX mission.

Filling this position will enable an additional interface between the Cold QCD group and the specific activities in 1008 before and during the running.

There are also critical items necessary for the success of the spin program that need additional attention. Itaru and I will be scheduling a Run-2024 spin-specific-needs meeting in the next couple of weeks.

As you can see in the picture below, Itaru (right) is up to the task and I look forward to working together with the whole spin physics team.
