Commissioning and running of sPHENIX

Just another reminder for the ODH works (installing light/alarm for the service buildings).

 

Hopefully, it’ll not affect us.  But since it’s “tests”, something can go wrong.

 

Today, the “Access” 1008-IR will be changed to “safe mode” when the Access Control Group comes down to do the test.  It may be half an hour or so in that state.   This “safe mode” is only the case for today, NOT every day.

I apologize for not specifically today calling, before the trip at 1006B.

 

Access Controls Technicians will be working in 1002B, 1004B, 1006B, 1008B, 1010A and 1012A and powering up components for the next month plus every day for the new ODH Indicators. There is not an anticipate effect on mode, ODH alarms or any functions within 1008IR, but there is always this possibility when work is being performed. If we know something happen on our end we will call to inform.

 

I will also call all the following, every morning for the next month, as well as in the afternoon when shift changes:
