Commissioning and running of sPHENIX

See below that their code downloading (for those ODH sensor monitoring) in 1008B would affect 1008-IR (as everything in Access Code System is “LINKED”) and 1008-IR would go to “Safe Access” (which means no access with the RHIC/C-AD access card). 

 

Just to let you know (as our shield wall is opened, you have an opening to get in anyway if you really want).

I am planning on downloading 8 O’clock PLC code this afternoon at 12:00PM during lunch. This will send 8 O’clock to SA Mode and if all goes well I should be able to have it back in RA Mode by 1:00PM. If anyone has any reason why I should not do this please let me know, thanks.

Today Access Controls Technicians will be working in 1002B, 1004B and 1008B. In 1008B the initial requirement for “Scrubbing” is complete however we have Air Flow sensors that are required for the first of February and we will be hooking up those cables today in a effort to lesson impact next week. The work in 1002B, 1004B, 1006B, 1010A and 1012A will continue for the next month plus every day (except Christmas and New Year’s Day) for the new ODH Indicators. There is not an anticipate effect on mode, ODH alarms or any functions within 1008IR, but there is always this possibility when work is being performed. There is not an anticipate effect on mode, ODH alarms or any functions within the RHIC Ring or Service Buildings, but there is always this possibility when work is being performed.. If we know something happen on our end we will call to inform.

 

I will also call all the following, every morning for the next month, as well as in the afternoon when shift changes:
