Hello sphenix-run-l,
I am informing everyone that the TPC HV + LV will remain on tonight 03/10 into early
tomorrow morning 03/11. We have favorable humidity conditions which provide us with at least a 9-10 deg. C safety margin in the bore/IR with respect to the dewpoint temperatures there. We also observe an exceptionally stable HV system which at time of writing
has not tripped once in 3 hours of operating.
The shift crew will continue to take data for us with the
HCAL horizontal cosmic coincident trigger which is currently being used. We have instructed them to start runs every 20 minutes which at the current trigger rate (17-18 Hz) gives ~ 20K events/run. Additionally, if trips do occur, they have been instructed
to just leave the trips to be recovered by experts (our fast and slow protection is running). Experts will be on call if something goes wrong.
In the morning, it was agreed that Tom will lower the HV BEFORE the scheduled MVTX/INTT
bore works takes place. He will attend the 830 AM meeting virtually to coordinate this as well as coordinate this with the shift crew when he does it.
Just letting everyone know, feel free to ask questions.
Thanks
