Dear DOE Mile Participants,

This is a friendly reminder that the DOE Mile Walk/Run is happening today! The weather is great for a run/walk, and we're excited to see everyone join in for this event. Please hydrate before hand and consider sun screen or a hat!

Event Details:

• Date: Today, May 21st
• Time: Starting at noon
• Location: 1-mile course through Brookhaven Avenue, starting at Bldg. 438 and finishing near the ball fields.

Family members with on-site access are welcome to join the on-site walk/run.

If you can't make it today, you can still participate virtually:  measure a 1-mile course, race it, and submit your time using the registration form by the end of the day tomorrow (5/22). Don’t forget to use a fitness app like Strava to verify your mile and include a screenshot of your time when reporting it.

Registration: If you haven't registered yet, you can do so at the start line table. Please arrive a little in advance to ensure you have enough time to register before the race begins.

BERA will provide prizes for the winners in each category. Should you have any questions or need assistance, please contact amerone AT bnl.gov or amattera AT bnl.gov.
