Commissioning and running of sPHENIX

Hello,

We have replaced 10 new phones in 1008 that work with the Lab.'s new phone system.   I replaced 4 desktop phones myself and the ITD tech.
replaced those that are wall-mounted.   I quickly tested all of them and only 1 didn't work.  I called ITD a couple hours ago and they promised to

fix it (or it might have been fixed by now ... related to MAC address).   Most importantly, the phone nos. for the 3 phones in the Control Room are 

still x7821, x7815 and x8360.

{ Interestingly, a couple C-AD MCR operators came to check earlier today whether our phones work to communicate with MCR. }

Below is a message from the Cryo group which just completed the pressure test for the new heat exchanger .   But they will wait until Monday to start

the LN2 cooling for the sPHENIX Magnet.

All, the pressure test has been completed. The caution tape has been removed and all can re-enter L3 again. Everything was tight on the system and we should start cooldown on Monday. Thanks for your cooperation.

The purpose of this communication is to provide notice of closure for L3 to all personel (except for those involved in the test) during the Pressure test. The test procedure should be completed within 1 hour. Please make sure that any affected employees are notified. I will send out another email when the test is completed and it is ok to continue work on L3 again. Thank you!
