Though one ITD person said that he doesn't know when they will be able to send people to install phones, two better friends in ITD (Mike Stangel and Bill Baltz) has configured two phones for us (out of 10 I asked). Since they couldn't find techs. to install , I took the phones from them and unplug/plug to install the phones.

So now, in 1008 Control Room, we have two phones , one x7815 and another x7821 , which can receive outside-BNL calls and you can dial out .

So far, I know where to change the ringtones.

(2) Please don't hit "Sign ..." :

Lee Flader came to play with the phones and by chance he hit "More" (the last choice of 1st screen) and then "Sign ...".

I didn't realize at first but some minutes later, I saw a permanent "Press Sign in" screen. It turned out that "Sign ..." means "Sign out" ! Users can't sign in ourselves.

I called Bill and Mike for help. It took them more than one trial to sign us back in. We might be the first one but won't be the last one to make this kind of easy-to-make mistake.

( They will be more skillful to sign users back in in the future. )
