Carter has the hardware in hand, and will start laying out the holes this week.

Hi Rosi,

The handles need to be attached before the petals are attached. I spoke with Carter today and he has the drawing for the handle locations. Frank Toldo ordered the handles and associated hardware. He has them in 1008. I also asked Chris Pontieri (cc’d) if he could get those parts to Carter.

Attached are all the related drawings.

Hi Russ/Rich,

We wanted to check on the time scales for the handle for the sEPD strongback and the "bike rack".  Other than our test fits with a single strongback petal, it doesn't make sense to assemble the strongback pieces until the holes are drilled into the petals and the "bike racks" exist.  We also will need to unassemble the one we have for the holes to be drilled.  It sounds like these activities are planned from talking to our sEPD crew, can you let us know what the timing is?

Rich - can you send around the final drawings for the handle?  One thing I did not know is whether there was a washer or anything that needed to go under the scintillator for this design.  Basically, there is the question if whether the handles can be added after the petal assembly or whether this is something that needed to happen prior to the entire assembly.

Regards,

Rosi
