Hello Yicheng,
The way you structured the abstract by discussing all the measurements with various methods, then you state at the end that you would report measurement suggestive of a possible CME signal. This gave the impression that all your measurements with various methods contributed suggestive of a possible CME signal. Is that correct for all the measurements you promised to present? It would be more accurate to state with which particular method your measured result is suggestive of the CME signal. You may state that you will report results of the CME searches from other methods as you have done in the abstract. It is up to you whether you want to clarify these results yielding positive or upper limit on the CME search. But an accurate statement regarding the corresponding method for your suggestive evidence should be made.
This is an exciting period for the CME related work. I hope that in the coming months the STAR collaboration will be able to come to a better understanding of the various methods, background sources and the limitations.
Regards,
Huan

Hi Prithwish,
Thank you for your review and valuable comments. We have tried to implement most of them. The updated version has been uploaded to the same drupal node:
Title: "Evidence of Possible" --> "Investigating Potential Evidence"> Implemented. Changed into "Investigating Potential Evidence of a Chiral Magnetic Effect Signal"
"the combination of these measurements eliminates"--> "the combination of these measurements mitigate"> We prefer the original _expression_.
for this part "... in a phase space different from that of particles of interest"
seems a bit incomplete, can you add something along why it's any good?> Added "to avoid autocorrelations" after that.
"We report evidence of a possible CME signal"-->
how about: "We report measurement suggestive of CME signal"
or better: "We report CME signal with a significance of 3.4"> Changed into "We report measurement suggestive of CME signal"
If you have any further comments, please let us know.
Sincerely,Yicheng

Comment:
Nice abstract!! I sign off with the following comments.
Title:
"Evidence of Possible" --> "Investigating Potential Evidence"
"the combination of these measurements eliminates"
--> "the combination of these measurements mitigate"
for this part "... in a phase space different from that of particles of
interest"
seems a bit incomplete, can you add something along why it's any good?
"We report evidence of a possible CME signal"
-->
how about:
"We report measurement suggestive of CME signal"
or better:
"We report CME signal with a significance of 3.4"
