Hi Steve,
I am thinking we may want a fair long bit of wire exposed there or else this is going to be a stiff (and potentially problematic) connection to the T-board. I don't have any specific info on the test plan / setup so no specific advice, except "not too short". Maybe 15 cm is good? or at least 10 cm? This is guesswork on my part though.

Hi Jianing,

The attached picture shows the dimension I am asking for. Mike Capotosto
built this sample for us.

The wire will be stripped 6mm and tinned. As you mention, the redundant
piece of wire can be cut after soldering.

Distance at T-Board

Hi Steve,
Do you mean the metal cable soldered to the T-Board? If yes, usually the stripping length is about 1 - 2 mm. Since the T-Board thickness is 1.2 mm, I think 2 mm should be enough, and redundant part can be cut off after fixed.
Let me know if you have any concerns.

Best,
Jianing

Distance at T-Board

Hi Li,

We are building a sample of the prototype inner cable for testing and there
is one last detail we need to know.

On the T-Board end, how much of the cable outer jacket should be stripped
back?
I think this will depend on the plan for securing the cable and also the
layout of the vias on the T-Board.

We can always modify it to fit later, but it would be good to have a value
for the vendor to use while building the 10 prototype test cables.
