Hey Gerard,
I believe one cable had two or three bent pins on one of the D-Sub connectors. I just didn’t get around to crimping on new pins to the bad spots – but I believe we added the second cable as a spare.
As far as testing purple cable assemblies, I ordered a few boards with headers to test point to point continuity through the T-Board and purple cable, but never got a chance to put any of them together and confirm I got all the pins correct.
For gray cable testing – I suppose the easiest way to do the hi-pot would be to short all unused/signal pins to ground through a connector, apply 200V to the bias pins, and look for current to increase. Do you think this is sufficient?
For testing pin to pin continuity we have a configurable B&K Cable Tester that can be used, so long as we have one known-good cable for the tester to “learn”.
Thoughts/comments?

hi Flemming,
Definitely that's right, we should test. (I hope we will not have to be testing for some obscure issue though. We better sort that out soon. Simple continuity, hipotting the bias wires, and visual inspection of the connectors, is all (I would hope) is needed.)
What was the "connector issue"? Mechanical damage in the removal after IST? Or something else?

Hi Gerard and Mike,
This reminds we need to check before installation all the grey cables we
want to use.
Of the two grey cables we pulled on the south platform one had a
connector issues.
We should device a proper testing plan with setup for the grey cable in
physics and then start doing testing as filler job in the next few
months. TSimilar testing should be done for the purple cables once we
start producing them.
Best Flemming
