Hi Flemming, Zhenyu,

That should hopefully be the only issue w/ grey cables, damage to connectors if they were not pulled out carefully enough. BTW for installation for IST, we bagged / bubble wrapped the ends. We should do likewise again. Perhaps this wasn't done for the removal, I wasn't involved.

The one worry on the grey cable is if we have a problem with the new bias plan - it is different than the usage of the cables in IST. Hopefully that one cable with bias-related trouble was an isolated incident and not a symptom of something that we've overlooked in this new bias plan. It will be good to run more of these cables soon, if feasible.

Hi Zhenyu,

I agree completely with what you are suggesting in terms of QA/QC `. As
you probably recall I have brought it up several times.

On grey cables recall we used 72 for IST, and none were thrown out. All
in the basement here at BNL. I think the main concern is the connector
in terms of mechanical damage when they were pulled out and moved.
