Hello Tristan,

I sign off.

Hello Nihar,

Thank you for your comments. I have adjusted the statements you
mentioned.

L16: v_{2}^{ch jet} -> v_{2}^{jet} [you don't need to mention "ch
jet"
as you have mentioned using "charged jet" in that sentence, this is
fine]

I would like to keep this as v_{2}^{ch jet}, both to stay consistent
with the ALICE result (1509.07334.pdf (arxiv.org) [1]) and because I
may in the future measure v_{2}^{jet} using full jets.

Cheers,
Tristan

Hello Tristan,

Please find my following suggestions.

L11: "…observables, including dihadron correlations and dijet
asymmetry." -> "…observables, such as dihadron correlations, dijet

asymmetry, etc.

"Another approach to measure jet quenching effects is to determine
the
anisotropy of the distribution of jets with respect to the event
plane."
I would suggest to modify your sentence like
"Nevertheless, the path length dependence of jet quenching can be
studied by measuring the anisotropy of the jet distributions with
respect to the event plane in heavy-ion collisions."
Then your next sentence "Due to the approximately elliptical …"
comes
coherently in a flow.

L16: v_{2}^{ch jet} -> v_{2}^{jet} [you don't need to mention "ch
jet"
as you have mentioned using "charged jet" in that sentence, this is
fine]

L17: "Zr+Zr systems."-> "Zr+Zr collision systems."

L19-21:"The EPD enables this measurement by allowing the event plane
to
be determined in the forward region, creating a gap in rapidity from

where jets are found which reduces autocorrelation effects with
respect
to the event plane determination."
-> I would rephrase this. "The EPD enables the determination of the

event plane in the forward rapidity, whereas jets are measured at
the
mid-rapidity that mitigates the autocorrelation to the jet
measurement
in STAR."

Hello Nihar,

Thank you for the helpful feedback on my abstract. I have
implemented
your suggested improvements, apart from the following:

L11: "Another approach to measuring jet quenching effects is to
determine the anisotropy of the distribution of jets…" This is
inaccurate, generally we don't measure jet v2 to study directly
jet-quenching effect rather it is the manifestation of jet-medium
interaction which gives jet-quenching effect and jet anisotropy.
So it
needs some modification, Please rephrase this.
Something like " The jet anisotropy measurement with respect to
the
event plane sheds light on the jet-medium interaction in heavy-ion
collisions."

My understanding is that the specific jet-medium response which is
probed by jet v2 is the path-length dependence of jet-quenching,
thus
it would be valid to make the direct comparison. If this is
inaccurate I would be happy to rephrase it, but if not I would
prefer
to keep it as is.

An updated draft has been uploaded to Drupal.

Cheers,
Tristan
