Hi Gabe,

thanks for the updated request.
Please find below my remaining comments.

- s6: for which constituents pT cut and jet R these uncertainties are. Could you please add the other cases as well.
- s9: I would suggest using more distinct marker colors. Also, there is a red line around the triangle markers.
- As discussed at the meeting, it would be good to add some plot(s) that would help in demonstrating that excess of baryons cannot be explained by picked-up background fluctuations, from the checks on simulations that you did.

Cheers,
Barbara

Hello Gabe,

Thank you for preparing these slides.
We can discuss more on your results on Tuesday and/or Thursday
(depending upon other undiscussed analyses). So please join this week.
I think we need more discussion on how to interpret these interesting
results.

Besides, please find my comment on your preliminary request.

General comments:

Please include slide number.

Can you please follow the guidance 1 to 7 from this link for your all
preliminary plots?
https://drupal.star.bnl.gov/STAR/pwg/common/Preliminary-figures

What is the jet pT range you use for results on Slide7,8 and 9?

Slide7:
Cosmetic:
Please use different color or marker style to show the different markers
or use unfilled box for systematic uncertainty.

Legend: Please also mention what is the jet pT range you use here in pp

Physics:
"similar energies at LHC (by ALICE) and in e+e- data." -> Please include
references for both these results then I will comment on this statement.

Slide8:

Cosmetic:
This fig needs some work, Please follow guidance-5 particularly.
Either you adjust Y-axis scale or place somewhere the legends.

Legend: Please also mention what is the jet pT range you use here in pp
"Constituents p_{T} > 3 GeV/c"
You need to mention what is that "dash red line"?

Physics comment:
I think we need to have the same results for different jet R with pT
constituent > 3 GeV.
It is the key point for this analysis. Because of results in Slide9
(please see my comments below).

Slide9:
Cosmetic: Marker color and style need some work. It is indiscernible at
some bins mainly high pT.

I still think we need to show  (either in a separate plot or in this
plot) AuAu inclusive spectral results.
This is important piece of information relating to jet-medium
interaction or probably modification of PID FF. And I don't think it
undermines our this jet analysis to understand baryon-to-meson compared
with previous AuAu inclusive measurement. It may add another dimension
to our understanding how jet-medium interaction in QGP and its
consequences in terms of PID ratio in side jet. This is a very
interesting results but a little caution is needed on these preliminary
result for HP.

It will certainly raise questions from the audience at HP2023. Why do we
show only pT>2 GeV/c case for jet R dependence not for >3 GeV/c? And
don't compare AuAU inclusive results here.

Slide10:
What is the jet pT range  you use for the above results?

"the excess of softer jet-like objects picked up in Au+Au when the
constituent cut is lowered to 2 GeV/c"
I think this is important to understand. Don;t you think this might
inflict the constituent cut > 2 GeV/c results?

Cheers
Nihar
