Hi Brennan, All,

Following up on the RHIC vs LHC discussion and models.
Below are two plots from our and ALICE papers with Pythia predictions on top of them.
If we take ~same pT ranges, > 4 for RHIC and 4-8 GeV for LHC, and compare Pythia prediction at let's say norm mult of 4, we can clearly see that at the LHC energy it gives lower N_jpsi/<N_jpsi> than at RHIC.
It would be good to understand more physics there, but at least we could have some answer without running Pythia in a rush now.

Hi Brennan,

Please upload the talk here: https://drupal.star.bnl.gov/STAR/node/add/starpresentations, and send the preliminary request slides to this email chain.

Thanks,
Isaac

Hi everyone, below is a draft of the HP2024 slides that is roughly 90% complete.  I have given a local rehearsal, and also applied many alterations.  Also, none of my data points have changed from those I showed last week.  Also, the differences between these data points and a final publishable result will be small.  The points may wiggle a small bit (going from current to publishable), but they won't jump around.

I'm wondering if an automatic email is supposed to go out or something?  For the PWG meeting tomorrow, I will be yet further too.

best,

b

Hi.  My practice was really just a group discussion about the talk, but I’m giving a dry run today.  Will it suffice if I have a working draft/edit to you by later this afternoon?  b

Hi Brennan,

Good to know that nothing in the analysis is changing, but can you post a talk draft? It would help me as I write the STAR talk, and give the conveners time to edit it. It’s fine if it’s not perfect yet, but I assume you at least have something since you said you practiced it already locally. It would also be great if you could send preliminary request slides.

Thanks,
Isaac

Hi Nihar, et al, I will certainly present on Thursday.  None of the data points have moved, and I have only to show the plot [singular] with updated labeling and styling, etc.

Talk to you soon,

b

Hello Brennan,

We have not received any updates from you since your last presentation
regarding the progress and plots for HP2024.

I kindly suggest that you present your final results and any new updates
at this week's HP-PWG meeting on Thursday. It will be challenging for us
to approve your new results at the last minute.

Best
Nihar
