Hi Yuri, David, and All,

Yuri, I think David eventually type simulation, because indeed there is no GMT simulation at the moment and David
looks at the actual data.

David, I think that the simplest way to proceed is to look at the data produced in the StGmtClusterMaker:: Make function.
For example, compare cluster positions. You do not need LOG-files or many events.
Just compare the information for several events. I would suggest starting from it.

I think that even if we have a different number of tracks between dev and .DEV2, the amount of clusters in GMT should be the same.

Cheers,
Grigory

Hi Dave, I don’t understand why are you talking about GMT simulation ?

As I know there is no such thing yet.

GMT has no effect on tracks. It should be approximately the same no. of track in both dev and .DEV2.

It is good idea to run GMT cluster finder side by side in dev and .DEV2 version and see the differences.

Hi Grigory, Yuri, et al.,

I need to investigate why there are no many more tracks in the dev2 vs the dev version for the GMT simulation. It has been suggested that I should try at the cluster level. Is the best way to proceed to edit a local copy of the StGmtClusterMaker.cxx under the StGmtClusterMaker::Make function? (If this is a good starting location, I can also run small jobs and hopefully utilize the generous baked-in `LOG_INFO` information to compare between the version.

Thanks for your continued support. We talked about this last Tuesday, and there was some advice for a few ins, but a lot of other things have happened this week and having a good entry point will be immensely helpful,

Thanks,

Dave
