Thank you for the fast answers Yuri!

Cheers,
Richard

Hell all, the answers on Richard quests:
— need to verify with Yuri that he is using the old digital device _only_ to determine field direction
        The current TFG version (>= 25e) is using the STAR main magnet current measurement for switching between FF, HF, ZF, RHF, RFF.
This modification has not been propagated  to SL yet.
— also need to verify whether Yuri is using the NMR for anything
The NMR measurements are not used  in reconstruction. We only use the fact that NMR is by a factor ~10 more stable  than the STAR main magnet current  measurements.

== Hardware
— problem this past Saturday
— east laser was dark
— around 9 am, gas system began to misbehave (fluctuations in flow meter)
— if methane drops for more than 1 minute system will go into purge mode
— made some changes in potentiometer (adjust flow from 1.5 to 1.7)
— this slightly increased methane content therefore drift velocity is slowly increasing
— dropped back from 1.7 to 1.54 this morning (was not stable even at 1.52)
— will continue to monitor and adjust if necessary
— changed two mirrors for east laser during access yesterday
— mirrors are now clean, but still have issue, perhaps crystal (needs a day to change)
— have 10 minute access today to better evaluate needed changes
— also lost NMR probe (happening often, every several days)
— loses lock
— need to have a written instruction for shift crews (how to monitor, what to do, etc.)
— need to verify with Yuri that he is using the old digital device _only_ to determine field direction
— also need to verify whether Yuri is using the NMR for anything

== Electronics
— the usual RDO and FEE outages occurring, nothing unexpected
— 1 to 3 RDOs lost per day
— fixed weekly as Tonko when time is available
— likely need to pay careful attention if analyses are very sensitive to systematics

== Software
— Nothing reported this week

== AOB
— Nothing new for this week

Best Regards,
  Richard
