== Hardware
— On Tuesday there was a global power dip around 4-5am
— restarted systems
— when got to water, a large water leak began on west side
— pole tip was removed, found 0.5” pipe to inner sector #1 became disconnected (pressure spike?)
— some RDOs and FEEs were removed
— tried yesterday, ran with no problem
— when tried interlock mode system dropped for ~10 second period
— seems to be a signal coming from STAR that shuts down water after 10 seconds
— During removal of west pole tip worked on lasers
— east laser is at least factor ~6 brighter now
— ordered spare window (changed every few years or so)
— RHIC will have no power Tuesday due to power line repairs to be undertaken
— need to have TPC in purge mode
== Electronics
— Tonko working on electronics during all of this
— will start on east side
— some work will require water flow, so that has to be coordinated
== Software
— pp200 low-lumi 2024 dE/dx calibration
— need to check with DEV
— Gene suggests maybe check with P24iy rather than DEV
== AOB
— QA discussions for current run
— many electronics channels coming on or off for short periods
— easiest thing to do is remove whole RDO for some period (10 minutes? Whole run?)
— need to ensure whatever method is used actually kills hits in RDO regions marked dead
— otherwise TPC hit code may use hits in that region even if the RDO is marked dead
— these often occur in runs that may have several million good events, so don’t want to kill whole run unless absolutely necessary
— Yuri mentioned some anode sections with lowered voltages need to be considered as well
— Daniel working on ToF calibration in O+O running
— noticed splitting in proton mass, larger in RFF than in FF field
— occurs in positive eta for RFF and negative eta for FF
Best Regards,
Richard
