Hi Tim,

                I don’t know what happened, but I had the right BOE text on the slide, but the wrong text in the BOE file.    

                I have corrected them now.   Both the slides and BOE are _V3 on the indico page.

 

                For the package from JCET, I now say it is the contract, instead of quote.

                I updated the date.

                Unfortunately, the translation from the quote to the US cost is not straightforward, because of core and non-core cost.  It is fully documented in the traceability table.

 

                The numbers in BOE cost table are direct cost, while the cost from scrubbing report on slide 2 is the actual cost.  I think that is why they are different.

I made some comments directly on the word doc and ppt slides and uploaded them to the indico page:

My main concern is that there seems to be an inconsistency in the BOE text and the example drill down (at least in the version that you uploaded). Related ,the packaging costs in the BOE don’t match the tables or slides, and I couldn’t see how you got $29k for preproduction and $86k for production. Also the cost estimate table in the BOE material costs don’t match your slide 2 table. Are they supposed to?

Since the majority of the cost of this WBS is labor, and it's based on
phase I (and earlier) experience, could we not have an attachment
detailing the phase I labor? In general, it's not very clear exactly
what each person is working on and when for this WBS.

preparations, I would like to ask Tim to read over Hong's PA/S

documents, and Andy to read over Hao's System Integration documents, and

to provide feedback latest by noon on Tues. May 3.  I will also go over

both sets of documents.  That should give Hong and Hao some time to

incorporate any changes before the scrubbing with the PO on Wed. May 4.

 

        Another issue: during our weekly meeting on Apr. 8, we went over any RR

changes to be made as part of the quarterly RR review. I need now to

collect all the final changes and propagate them to the PO. Please make

sure the RR version you uploaded to the Apr. 8 Indico reflects all the

changes to be made to your L3, updated as necessary following the

discussions we had.
