Dear NSF L2s and Deputy L2s,

(Apologies if you got a different version a few weeks back; some if not 
all of the people on the list didn't get it, so please use the updated 
information below.)

We propose to hold our quarterly *NSF risk review* during the *CCB 
meeting time slot* on *Tuesday, November 1*. We will cover all systems 
in one meeting (~10 min per subsystem):

As usual, please*prepare a few slides* covering:

  * *Changes inrisks*since the lastriskreview (*especially those that
    can be retired*);
  * Updated*task affected*(to make sure it remains*something in the
    future*) as well as clear descriptions of what to do in case of
    multiple tasks affected (rare);
  * *Last updated fields*(it was noticed at a recent review that some
    "last updated" fields are in the future);
  * Update comments to clearly describe how the cost/duration
    uncertainties are arrived at;
  * Potential changes torisks in the next 3 months, e.g.:
      o changes to probability/impact of existingrisks;
      o existingrisks that could be realized or that need to be watched
        carefully;
      o introduction of newrisks, or even just speaking to the things
        that are worrying you these days;
      o risks that might be retired;
  * This is also an opportunity for general housekeeping of the RR,
    e.g., updating anticipatedriskretirement dates.
