Hi Harinder,

This was unnecessary before today. If you are already using it, then you shouldn't need to make any changes. However, read access to FAX has always been via X509_USER_PROXY . The difference is now you will also need to use X509_USER_PROXY for any write (or read) access to Faxbox, which despite the name is actually not federated via FAX. 

I hope that clears up any confusion.

But this was authenticated before as well: as in job we do:

export X509_USER_PROXY=x509up_u5xxxx

Is there some changes to it? Couldnt understand the change.

If you have a valid usercert and userkey pair in your ~/.globus directory, this should happen automatically when you xrdcp, assuming XRootD has been set up from ALRB.
