Bob,

please find two files attached (solenoid schematics and overall
BeAST detector 3D picture).

The gray volume (cryostat) is defined by the following 4 sections
(all values in mm):

z r1 r2

-1830 1640 1850
-1610 1370 1850
1610 1370 1850
2000 1680 1850

In a similar way, the return yoke (blue volume) is defined by:

z r1 r2

-2500 2700 3000
-1200 2000 3000
1200 2000 3000
2500 2700 3000

Red volumes are coils. I can give you locations, sections and
current densities if needed. The configuration was optimized in
a way to 1) be compact, 2) provide more or less homogeneous field
in the TPC volume, 3) provide specific field line configuration
inside the gaseous RICH volume in order to minimize Cerenkov ring
distortions.

We roughly checked with Brett at that time (a year ago) that there
was no major screw up on my side with the basic design parameters.

Best regards,
Alexander.

What is the length, inside radius and thickness of your central detector
solenoid, and the overall radius of the detector?
