sPHENIX discussion of the superconducting solenoid

Hi,

After taking out old shims and putting in the bent shims (as Jon instructed), Jon Hock went to check and he found some loose jacks (that one can rotate by hand) and
he suspects that they might have overloaded (too much).   I saw Jon go to talk to Matt Ilardo (abd F. Karl) and they'll gather together tomorrow morning.  This time,
Jon would be there (to observe, instruct, or do it himself ... whatever) and so that it can be done right finally.     In retrospect, Jon should be there the last two times :-) :-(

After that, Jesse Fite can have another look (before closing up) and Frank/Carter can install the magnetic probes finally :-)

I also observe that the "Plant" in 912 has not been started.  Roberto just told me that it's because the He gas was not "pure" enough and
they're going back to RHIC to purify it this afternoon.  Hopefully, they can start the Plant tomorrow.
