Hi,

1.      This morning, we have had to take a couple hours to prepare for the fall protection before the riggers could really put up the end-wall

steel pieces.   The end-walls seem more than half-closed as you may see from the picture that I’ve just taken :

I understand that there are still 2 pieces of steel (may be with slightly less height) of the end-walls to be installed tomorrow.  After they close up

the end-walls tomorrow, the Cryo group will immediately start to pump in He gas into the sPHENIX Magnet !    Please let me know if

      you think we forget everything.

2.       Just before I could type this email,  I ran a bit between 911 and 912 to be a messenger between Pablo Rosas and John Morris.  But actually,

they managed to find each other.   There was a PSI communication problem reported by Pablo and John has just fixed the problem this afternoon.

Pablo will test it tomorrow morning.

3.      Frank Toldo has put a piece of 1” thick copper to connect between the + and – terminals of the MCM cables for the short-circuit test.

4.      We’ve some issues with the Leads being exposed and Pablo have bloced the ladder when he connected the power supply with the MCM cables.

For the time being, he disconnected the MCM cables from the power supply (after Mike Lenz installing the side covers for the power supply
terminals) so that people (such as the Cryo group) could walk up to the platform.

To deal with this problem, as PK Feng suggested, John Moloney (a tech in Joe Sanfilippo’s group) is making a temporary cover to put on the top of
the MCM cable terminals.  The bottom side is already covered with a thick piece of wood.  He may finish this evening as he’s just told and shown me.
