Please be careful when changing the configuration of group accounts in 1008, e.g. paths, software installations, adding things to .bash_profile, etc.  Keep in mind that your changes affect all users of those accounts, and that there may be consequences you don’t anticipate.  If you have any doubt, please check with Martin first.
