Commissioning and running of sPHENIX

Hello sPHENIXians,

It has been an exciting ride for sPHENIX in Run 2024.    Each month, each week, each day... someone has risen to the challenge and made a real difference in solving a problem, making sure the detectors were working, analyzing offline data to feed back into our data taking, bringing donuts, etc.!

It seems fitting to end with someone young at heart.    

The last sPHENIX Hero for Run 2024 is Sean Stoll !   

Sean has made huge contributions to sPHENIX over so many years, and this year as a critical EMCal expert.    In addition, he sat a total of eight (yes, that's right 8) owl shifts in Run 2024.    A large fraction of the physics data is taken overnight and with Sean steering the ship, a lot of those bits are from Sean.    I also cannot count the number of days when after a full owl shift, he stayed through the day for an access to repair or swap something to keep the EMCal going.

There are so many heroes that I know I have not done justice to everyone.   I am passing on my list and the baton on to Run Coordinator 2025, Rosi Reed.
