Hi Toshihiro/Hanna,

Thank you for your very helpful comments. I’ve made the suggested changes along with some slight tweaks and uploaded the updated abstract. Please let me know if you have further suggestions!

Dear star-cf-l AT lists.bnl.gov members,

Toshihiro Nonaka ( tnonaka AT rcf.rhic.bnl.gov ) has commented on a material
originally submitted by Dylan Neff ( dneff AT physics.ucla.edu ) at
https://drupal.star.bnl.gov/STAR/presentations/Quark-Matter-2023/Probing-nature-QCD-phase-transition-higher-order-net-proton-number-f

Comment:
Dear Dylan and Ashish,

Thank you for posting the merged abstract.
The abstract looks already in a good shape, but I have some comments as
follows.

L1: Remove "especially their signs"
L2: details -> nature
L5: ordering -> special ordering
L6-L7: can be tested in heavy-ion collision experiments by measuring
higher-order cumulants of the net-proton multiplicity distributions.
L12: along with proton factorial cumulants over the full...
L15: we report measurements of net-proton C5/C1 and C6/C2 in Au+Au collisions
L16-L17: ... center-of-mass energies from 3 GeV to 200 GeV,
where 3 GeV data is from the fixed-target program and the other data sets are
from Beam Energy Scan program phase I at RHIC.
L17: remove "\sqrt{sNN}"
L17: Proton factorial cumulants and the variance...
L18: of these distributions -> of proton distributions
L19-L21: explanation for the data sets can be done right after you mention
center-of-mass energies. See the comment above.
L21: Remove "Protons and... 2.0 GeV/c"
L22-L23: The cumulant measurements are compared with QCD-based FRG model,
UrQMD and HRG calculations as well as the lattice QCD calculations.

Best regards,
Toshihiro
