Dear All,

sorry, I could not dial in today.
I’m still confused what the exact goal of these simulations is. Can somebody please explain to me why we study this again?

Thanks elke

Dear all,

Please find the meeting minutes in the following and please let me know if I missed anything.

News
- No news.

Sensor
  - NDL: Li finished the preliminary test on the first batch of the sensor. The results are expected.
Yi will check the status of the second batch with NDL.
  - Hamamatsu: The updated purchase order just submitted yesterday (change the testing requirement from 40 mum to 60 mum).

Mechanical structure
  - 3D printing prototype will be finished next Monday.
  - The design of the first "real" prototype will be finalized in these two days and the company will provide the quotation tomorrow (2/22). The production will be started soon.
  - The SolidWorks files were successfully transformed into the GDML format. Te-Chuan will contact Jason for the next step.
  - Need to arrange a meeting with Rahul for the limitation on the STAR structure.

T-board, Hybrid
  - Jianing presented the connector selection, Nicomatic is preferred. Yi and Han-Sheng will check whether this can be fitted into the current mechanical structure and we need to get the comments/confirmation from Gerard. The decision should be made soon (next week).
  - Jianing has modified the design of T-board with both connectors on the same side (old connector), and the size remains the same (no extra layer).
  - Once the connector is decided, Jianing will update all the designs.

Simulation
  - Te-Chuan just finished the analysis, and he will send out the detailed report later. Quick summary: the results with tighter cut on the hits requirement have better charge misidentification rate 1% vs 2% (with out hits requirement). But the momentum resolution and efficiency are about the same.
  - Te-Chuan also finished the comparison between different configurations (only sTGC, 1 FST + sTGC, 2 FST + sTGC and 3 FST + sTGC). The efficiencies are similar, but the momentum resolution is much better in the 3 FST + sTGC. Detailed results will be presented in his report, too.
  - Te-Chuan will also perform the Hijing simulations.

Cheers,
Yi
