Hi Hal,

We updated the cost and board numbers in the PEP updates I sent to Mike because of the MoU changes, but kept the same impact (i.e. we used the impact to define the cost change). That message (June 28th) was CCed to:Usatlas-hllhc-l2deputymgmt-nsf-l AT lists.bnl.gov so you should have gotten it, but if not let me know.

The hard part on the impact is what the effect of a 17% or 33% change in throughput is. Particularly because the throughput requirements have a margin in it. We could based on the TDR probably estimate what happens to HH->4b with 17% or 33% less tracking rate, which would be a proxy for what would happen to sensitive topics in general. Is a change in throughput sufficient or should I spend an hour trying to figure the impact on HH->4b (the only topic where there are enough studies to actually get a number).

Thanks Elliot!

So - just to confirm - on the scope contingency/opportunity side, the costs and/or decision dates have not changed? Also: do you have any improvements to the impact statements to suggest?

Cheers  -  Hal

Hi Hal,

The QA/QC documents are here:

We've checked the technical specs and nothing has changed since PDR.

There are scope/opportunity tables in the PEP do you want them copied your excel template. It seems the PEP has all the information needed, why duplicate?

Dear NSF L2s/DL2s,

Just a quick check on the status of the documents that were due last week:
  - Tech Specs update (7/1)
  - QA/QC docs - 1 per L3 (7/3)
  - Scope Contingency/Opportunity tables (7/5)

Full schedule: here

So far, I've only heard from Muons. Could the rest of you let me know where I can access your documents. I'll get started looking them over.

Thanks  -  Hal
