Thanks fine with me if you want to go with the HTT demonstrators.

Hi Elliot,

The Global algorithm firmware versions that are currently being written are standalone versions. They do not depend on the framework. That will start with the next algorithm version, so there's not a lot of exposure to the framework at present.

I'd think that the HTT is an easier choice to explain. It's a large fraction of the Trigger budget and will be the first versions of the hardware. Nothing wrong with that - it's just a bigger exposure.

Hi Gustaaf,

I do also worry about that. If things go wrong, it could be necessary to respin, more likely problems will be that some links don't achieve the required speed, which wouldn't derail the work at the start of the MREFC.

I choose the Global because if we have 5 groups writing firmware and then the framework is changed significantly that could cause a lot of rework.

Hi Elliot,

Thanks!

Hal and I discussed the "worries" earlier and we though for trigger the
obvious one was the HTT demonstrator.  It's not submitted for fab yet,
it's more complex than what the same people have built before, so it's
likely to slip.  Do you not worry about that?

Best,

Gustaaf
