Hi John,

Yes - you're right - thanks for catching this! The charge question numbering changed from the time when I created the templates to the final version. As you say, we'll need to remove the "CQ" boxes. I'll send out a mail. Sorry for the confusion.

Thanks  -  Hal

Hi Hal,
I guess you meant to write that the CQ are supposed to be aligned with
the NSF charge and not the DR charge.  That is at least closer to being
correct (since the CQ format is like 2.a, etc.), though as I mentioned
the one I checked (for Technical Progress) says 2.a and should
presumably be 1.a).  In any case, if the CQ do not align with the charge
the DR panel was given, it will only cause confusion.  If we cannot
"fix" this tdoay, we should maybe just delete all the CQ boxes on our
slides?

Hi John,

In the template I circulated, the Charge Questions refer to the charge
for the *Director's Review* (not the more detailed charge for the NSF
review). We'll need to emphasize to the DR committee that their charge
is a scaled-down version of the NSF review charge aimed to focus on the
main issues we need help with.

Hi Hal, all,

In reviewing my slides, I have a question about the "charge
question"
indicators on the various slides.  Has someone checked that the ones in
the templates are correct?  And which charge are we referring to, the
(simplified) one for the DR or the one for the actual NSF review?
For example, I notice the "Technical Progress" slide in the
template
has CQ-2.a.  The DR charge has charge questions a through k, and has
nothing like 2.a??  So this does not agree with the actual charge that
the DR committee will be using??  This suggest the CQ are actually
referring to the NSF review charge.  However, 2.a there (taken from p.
30 of Mike's slides) is all about uncosted labor and how it is tracked;
so this slides does not seem to refer to it either??

I know putting the CQ on each slide is to help the committee
write
their closeout.  However, it is not going to help if we are pointing to
the wrong CQ!

        Regards,
                John

Dear NSF L2s,

After a pass through the LAr L2 talk, there are a couple of changes
we're proposing to make to the L2 template. I've updated the file in
google slides so you can see the changes, and there's a brief
description below.

1. The term "(rebaselining)" is mis-leading when it's used with "World
Events" since the entire project is being rebaselined. We propose to
remove the qualifiers (rebaselining) and (contingency) from World Events
and Know Risks labels respectively.
Slides affected: 16,17,18

2. Trying to put the FDR and new Summary schedules side-by-side makes
them both unreadable. So just show the new schedule on slide 14, but
include an "x" in the new schedule to indicate where the FDR
end-of-production dates occured. It's probably useful to have the
(not-so-readable) schedule comparison slide in the backup in case the
reviewers want to see the actual comparison.
Slides affected: 14 + new backup

Let me know if there are any questions, or any other suggestions.

Thanks  -  Hal
