Hi John,

Done with the status sheets. Bullets below.

Best, Tim

ADC:

  • Packaging of first production wafers in progress at JCET. Necessary to iterate on marking design to include lot numbers. Expect 13k packaged chips in August (1 wafer from each production lot, remainder of engineering run chips).
  • Priming of packaging in progress.
  • 200 good, tested chips and documentation sent to Nevis for FEB2 prototypes for half crate test.
  • 1 tray (about 200) untested chips sent to Saclay for testing and half crate test preparations (tested chips to be sent to Nevis by end of September).
  • Robotic test-stand (RTS) again encountered issues with socket performance. Investigations of cleaning and connections made. Socket-PCB pads connection likely source of performance issues. Assembling remaining bare board without tinning on pads.
  • Coordination with Saclay on QC parameters ongoing. Improving/synchronizing parameter calculations.
  • Schematic design and layout for rad. board complete. Purchase order for board fab. in progress, likewise assembly.

OPTICS:

  • Received 2300 VTRx+ so far (expected 50%, or 7000, in current schedule). Delay due to production and QC at CERN.
  • VTRx+ link to MTP connectors in progress. Updated quote for connectorization of full production in progress.
  • Data and Control links: MTP connectors available in lab, testing in progress.
  • Optical fiber saddles and standoff fabrication investigated. Confirm halogen-free material. Custom tool production ordered (18 wk lead) to be ready for half crate test.
  • QC test setups in preparation. Studying need of optical spectrum analyzer.

A reminder these are overdue.  Please take care of both asap.
