Dear Oliver,
Thanks Oliver for the updated poster. It looks great. I have a few
minor suggestions for you to consider before printing.
Intro:
-“overlaps those” to “overlaps with those”
-Subscript T in pT
-Change the HCal photo's caption to “OHCal, magnet, and IHCal”
-I was thinking you could make the title “Recent results from
commissioning” a bit more exciting. Even just changing to “First
results from commissioning data!” Sounds better in my opinion or
make it a different color to highlight it more.
-Change “Jet physics predictions” to “Jet physics projections”
Best,
-Megan

Hi Oliver,not
Nice poster. I have few comments. Please see below:
In the top right plot titled Calibration of the outer oHCAL with
cosmic muons. I would change the wording a bit, because this is
finalized, it was a step to see if the cosmic muon simulationthe
generates a shape similar to the data. Also the set up was with
entire oHCAL. I assume the finalized calibration should involve adistance
tower by tower calibration.
A small cosmetic change will be useful for the plot right below
showing a correlation between the outer and inner hcal. The
of the x-axis title to the x-axis is not the same distance as inthe
y-axis. Although the appropriate persons have been notified, Ileave
this here since there was another presentation from sPHENIX withthe
same plot at the same conference.MBD
For the sPHENIX detector, are you against using the one here:
https://www.sphenix.bnl.gov
This way there is no need for the text stating that the sEPD and
are not depicted.simulations
Right below the sPHENIX detector, I believe we agreed that
should be named sPHENIX simulation not sPHENIX G4 Sim.audience
Following up on these plots, is there a need to state that the
underlying event subtraction does not include flow? Does the
care? I also have trouble reconciling showing the centralitywe
dependence in the jet energy scale at low pT- is the point to say
don't have our UE subtraction under control in this range?by
In the jet physics predictions section what does the audience gain
stating: most theoretical models have not been able tosimultaneously
describe the RAA and v2? Can you make your point clearer?change
Lastly, in the R-dependence of the RAA, it might be useful to
the wording from sPHENIX can make an accurate measurement in thiskinematic
region to something like sPHENIX measurement will cover this
region and help to reduce the tension between the ALICE and ATLASwhat
measurements. I think using "accurate", while I'm confident with
will be done at sPHENIX, the statement may appear too strong andmay
imply that the other LHC measurements might be inaccurate.time
